About
Based in Cairns, Australia, and presently engaged in research in the Torres Strait, Mola Mola Scientific provides accurate, timely and practical scientific services supporting healthy commercial fisheries and aquatic ecosystems.
The consultancy is led by Andrew, a self-confessed fish nerd with extensive experience working in commercial fisheries. With a strong science background and a deep respect for the fishing industry, Andrew understands the realities of working on the water and the importance of sustainable seafood production for Australia and export markets.
Andrew specialises in practical data collection and fisheries research, helping ensure fishing operations collect the most useful information in cost-effective and user-friendly ways to support sustainable harvests.
Mola Mola Scientific operates with a core belief in balancing economic, ecological and social sustainability in all aspects of fisheries management.
